Event Description

The group will hike from the parking area at the base of the the Hoodoos trail to the top of escarpment. From that vantage point we will examine the local topographic features and assess their impact on cloud formation, the distribution of precipitation and the generation of local winds. Also, the role that climate has played in shaping the local vegetation, landscape and economy will be discussed.

Level: moderate. The map shows an approximate location of the event. Meeting place and driving directions will be forwarded with booking confirmation.
