Trevor Kinley is a consulting wildlife biologist living on the Toby Benches. Over the past 20 years, his research topics in the East Kootenay have included mountain caribou (wrote the article on the Mountain Caribou for the Wildlife in British Columbia at Risk series), bobcats, badgers, riparian bird communities and wildlife-vehicle collisions. Scientists aren't supposed to have a "favorite" bird, but his is the western tanager.
