Brenda R. Beckwith PhD has a passion for plants. She loves their company, vitality, and charm, whether it be on a hike or in the garden of her Nelson home. After 25 years as a professional ethnobotanist, restoration ethnoecologist, and environmental educator, Brenda continues to learn from them and share their stories with others. She is an Instructor in the School of Environment and Geomatics, Selkirk College, an Adjunct Professor in the School of Environmental Studies, University of Victoria, and the President of the Kootenay Native Plant Society.
